A: I have never tried to use it to clean anything other than my mask & hoses. I do not think it would do any harm to clean other silicone based products.

A: I can't be sure about removing "musty hotel room" odors but the wipes have been very good in my experience at not adding odors of their own.

I mean, it's soap. I bought it because I want to take care of my CPAP supplies. It has a very limited odor which is very nice. I could still see just using some antibacterial organic soap in placement.
