This simple-yet-ingenious clip secures the tube to the toilet rim (2.0" rim thickness in this case) very well. Note that if this size doesn't grip securely, this seller has other sizes. The clip is a J-shaped tube that's been cut in half longitudinally so you can run the tube through it very easily and snugly. It grips the porcelain toilet rim tightly (assuming you order the right size), and allows room to put the seat cover over it. For the money, a VERY small price to pay to avoid tens of thousands of dollars of potential water and mold damage.
