They withstood every type of weather here in Northeast PA. The traction ability stayed constant throughout. We just took them off so we could treat the wood, and it was no easy job! Once the treatment dries I'm going to put down another batch of them. Some reviews say they don't stick in an outside application but they must not have cleaned the surface before applying them. Mine survived rain, sun, and snow shoveling through 3 winter's. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Helps my older dog stay steady instead of crash. *by L***O on Reviewed in the United States on September 18, 2015* I bought these to place on tile and wood steps for my senior dog's safety. She was slipping because her back legs are not as strong as they used to be. I noticed that she was having a difficult time even on 1-3 steps. She looked as if she was very close to careening off the stairs. I thought I might have to get a ramp. But, after reading some of the other reviews and the positive results they had with their older dogs, I decided to try these. They work great! She still is wobbly but she has much better grip and control now. The only thing that's not great with these...I have long stairs so I added a half of one to another. I butted the two ends together squarely on the wood steps. Over a month's time, the two pieces have slowly migrated apart. Now there is an 3/16" gap between the two pieces on all 3 wood steps. I don't know how this can happen but it has. The strips I put on the tile seem to have stayed put in place much better. By the way, I power washed the area BEFORE I placed the pieces down so it was clean and so the adhesive would stick best.UPDATE: December 1, 2015:The corners are coming up on the pieces that I laid down onto wooden steps. I ended up putting two together as my steps were long. I butted them up to one another but in that first week, they slowly began to separate. There is now a 1/8"- 1/4" gap between the piece where there wasn't any when I first put them down. The ones I placed on tile steps are still in tact and fine. ### ⭐⭐⭐ Indoor Use Only *by I***O on Reviewed in the United States on April 4, 2011* These anti-slip treads work well on my indoor basement steps where they stay dry and are able to maintain their grip but the ones outside exposed to the weather have not fared as well. The ones outside have lost their adhesive grip allowing water to seep underneath and have become hazards themselves looking secure but hydroplaning instantly once stepped on. This was from personal experience.Now that the weather is warming up the treads are bubbling up and curling at the edges. They will be completely removed and thrown away once they have fully dried out.For dry indoor use in mild temperatures these seem fine.
