Will this help?** A: Heavens to Betsy! For a few minutes there I was thinking "salad and wilted lettuce" were some new artsy Jargon I'd never heard about. **Q: Anyone used this on fabric/textile? I want to spray paint a round ottoman. If so, what were your results?** A: I used it on fabric (beige microfiber upholstery). The color came out less purple and much lighter than the cap even after 3 coats. It was more of a burgundy or merlot shade. The texture afterwards was rougher --similar to painted canvas. Nonetheless, I was very pleased with the results. It didn't rub off and the texture has begun to soften. **Q: I spray painted some plastic and metal but when it drys, the paint get chip off easly. How can i fix this problem??** A: Unfortunately, you will probably have to start over. The paint may not have adhered well. You can't really fix this...strip the paint (which won't take long if it is already coming off) and clean the object. CLEAN CLEAN CLEAN. The sand it. Use fairly fine sandpaper-you don't want scratches, but the paint needs something to hold on to. Paint and let it SIT for several days. You can then seal with polyurethane and let it sit a couple more days. Don't fall for those DIY TV shows that promise everything can be done in an afternoon! Doesn't work that way. Give the project time to "set" before you use it. And think about what you are using it for-if it is going to be subject to a lot of handling, maybe paint isn't the way to go. I have decoupaged (modge podge colorful papers and finish with sealer) many plastic items. Obviously not the best choice for outside use. just a thought. **Q: Can this be used on canvas** A: Once cured, this isn't flexible. It's slightly darker than sage, slightly brighter/less gray than olive. Paint: Shake REALLY well, press the button all the way down at all times, or you can wind up with texture from the paint and the color won't come out even throughout the use of the can. One trick I started to use was if there was an over-spray with dripping or bubbling, I QUICKLY used my finger to spread it out and it still dried nicely. Once I got the hang of this specific color and paint, it was much easier to use and get the result I was looking for. (For reference, I've used quite a few other colors from this company, but for some reason the oregano was a little harder to get right at first. Worth it though!) So far this is working well, but my outdoor furniture items haven't been exposed to rain or snow yet. I used with on a metal and glass table (the underside of the glass) with just dirt removal as prep, it went on nicely and dried/set with a lovely sheen that's not shiny-glossy. I also painted plastic risers for the table legs with no prep. So far it's adhering well to everything. For one of my other projects, I painted a wicker egg chair with a lot of prep, (scrub with deterrent and dry for a day, Rustolrum's gray spray primer then dry for another day before paint), this also looks great with a gentle sheen. I also previously painted a metal shed with this paint, that had more of a mixed result, but the cans had been sitting in my basement for 6 months and I may not have shaken them enough prior to use. That project came out botchy until I got the hang of using this paint, and a you can see in the photo, one door is still blotchy because I haven't gone back to it.
