My 6 & 3 year old daughters love the Music in Motion set. My 8 and 12 year old love the engineering of the cyclone set. Honestly, I get into it, too! I'm already eyeing the next Hape Quadrilla sets I want! I love that this challenges my oldest girls and enchants my younger girls. I noticed some reviewers complained that the set comes apart easily....well, of course you want it to come apart! That's the whole fun of it- taking it apart and rebuilding into a completely different design! Why would you want one single fixed marble run? That would be boring! Still a nice big set with lots of possible towers though. We love it. **Q: Not enough pieces to make the cyclone e6008 right?** A: That is correct. We bought the Quadrilla Cyclone and in the accompanying book of instructions, there are designs that supposedly show what can be created with the pieces You would have to purchase an additional set in order to do this. The diagram on the website is the Cyclone. which cannot be built with the pieces. As I mentioned in my comments on Amazon, I had called Hape twice and both times I was told they would send me the additional pieces, but to this date I have not received them. It has been several months. Thank you for your inquiry. **Q: Are all the sets compatible with eachother? We have the vertigo.** A: I have the Cyclone and the Autobahn. Yes, some pieces are compatible, but you'll never get the see-saw or the green fill-and-dump pieces to fit on the curved tracks. Enjoy! ### ⭐ Very challenging, not very satisfying.. very hard for kids to do without help *by K***K on October 8, 2020* My kids love marbles and we have the plastic marble run sets that you can piece together--which they are able to build themselves and go back to playing with over and over again. I loved the look, the vibrant colors and the concept of this wooden one, and thought my kids would have fun building and learning about physics together. The way the pieces are holed it looks so neat and challenging! Unfortunately, even at 5.5 and 3.5, they aren't able to build these tracks independently-- an adult needs to help them, and even still, it is very challenging. Pieces do not stack and stick together well, so structures you finally put up get knocked down or topple over on their own in an instant. Try adding the impatience of young children to this, and it's just so disappointing and frustrating. Marbles get stuck or fall off. If you try to build the entire thing using all the pieces, it will take you quite a long time and many tries. Even grandparents gave up in the middle of building with the kids and commented 'this is not a good toy'..! Perhaps this is some people's idea of fun. I wish 'some people' were my kids! Since we are unfortunate owners of this set now, we will try it again year after year and I will update if one day it's awesome.
