Very versitile air fryer -- AND More
On arrival:The cooker arrived double boxed and well packed, which was good as the courier had apparently damaged the outer box, but the cooker was completely unharmed inside. On unpacking:The unit appears to be solid and well built. Although there was an Instruction book, I would have expected the “get you started recipe book” that comes with most cooking appliances that you purchase. That said, a Google search of -- cuisinart "TOA60" recipe booklet filetype:pdf --, did yield some helpful starter recipes and further information on using the cooker.First impression:The layout seems to have come from a bygone era; with good chunky knobs which need a firm grip to turn, You get the feel that this device is solidly built, although the function indicator decal is a bit small to read easily. Also you gotta love the ticking clockwork timers, its clearly designed in an era when analogue ruled supreme and as such it may not be the first choice of those who like light touch digital controls. That said; this traditional design may well have extra appeal to some people, especially those who follow the steampunk lifestyle. In Use:It preforms well and I was impressed just how fast it does cook, (compared to my gas oven) even in non air-fry modes. I would say that it is a big air-fryer and suitable for a family but as an general oven goes it is equally excellent for a couple. I really like the keep warm function as well, which is great when cooking a larger meal and you want to keep everything hot until serving time.Cleaning is not the easiest task, with the supplied baking tray needing some good elbow grease to get it clean after use. However, this was largely resolved by using smaller (washable in dishwasher) stainless steel baking trays (available from Amazon) on the shelf, instead of the supplied tray.In conclusion:Controls a little clunky, but fine when you get used to them. Alone its great as an air fryer, but it so much more versatile than that. Even given its higher price than most, I still recommend.

Glad we bought it, but there is a glaring design fault
Excellently versatile but the controls are incredibly difficult to read. They should have been highlighted.

very high quality
The first thing that struck me was the solid construction. All metal, no plastic. Also, the dials feel very solid. The one on my old air fryer broke off and made it unusable. I was surprised with the quality of the toast function, an even toast all around. I did not expect an Air Fryer to do that. It has a pull out tray on the bottom that makes cleaning very easy. The two level frying shelf provides a lot of versatility. I think this one will last a long time.

Great little cooker
Makes pies, crumbed food and pizza lovely and crisp, very fast. Sausages and bacon cook so fast and great for finishing part baked breads. Only one curiousity is the hook inside on the left side that gets in the way and likes to catch on foil, wondering what it's for I guess some kind of guide for the upper rack but I think I will remove it as its a minor annoyance.

Very disappointing
As I already own a Cuisinart grill/steamer/hotplate which I absolutely love I was so looking forward to getting this but I was extremely disappointed. The oven part worked ok and cooked a small pizza very well but the grill section (one of the reasons I bought this) was awful. It takes four dials to set to make a toastie or a simple piece of toast with a lot of guesswork involved as you have to set function, time, temp and shade of toast. It took forever to brown a bit of toast, way longer than my toaster actually would. The main reason I returned it was due to poor grill/toaster performance plus I bought this to try and save money in putting the main oven on. One thing I didn't realise though, is that the only way to get it to work is to use the clockwork timer so there's no way of turning it off if your food is done before the timer has run out. You just have to leave it running until the timer turns back to zero (just like a little handheld wind-up kitchen timer would) before the oven will actually turn off. The only other way would be to unplug it and then wait for the timer to wind itself back to zero. I just thought this was poor considering the amount of money this is priced at (£250). I am glad I didn't pay full price for it as I waited until they reduced it on Prime Day and then bought if for £171. I have used it three times and it's now packed up and ready to return to Amazon. If you just want it for the oven then I supposed it does a half decent job. If you're thinking of toasted sarnies, bagels, crumpets etc then don't waste your money. Absolutely gutted to send it back but not paying £171 for something so useless.

Good quality
I like the luxurious feeling, like an appliance that use the middle class, also very versatile and easy to clean. Love it.
