I have favorite flavors within the Nii brand, but overall, I would choose a Nii Bar (in any flavor) before any other bar on the market.The Nii Cherry Coconut bar is a great choice if you love tart fruit and mellow nutty flavors. The first ingredient is raw organic cashew butter, and probably for that reason it was the first thing I tasted - a mellow nuttiness. That flavor was quickly overpowered by tart cherry, which ends up being the loudest and longest lasting flavor in the flavor trinity. The last flavor, and what gives the bar some texture, is the organic coconut (I think in the form of shavings). If you don't like coconut flavor, I would not count this bar out. If you don't like coconut shavings, then maybe this isn't the bar for you. The flavor of coconut is very subtle. All Nii bars are chewy, dense but not hard or dry (more similar to a Larabar than a Clif Bar), and are filling. They pack a lot of nutrition in to their size (bigger than a Larabar, smaller than a Clif bar).Overall, Cherry Coconut is my fourth favorite Nii bar flavor - but I still love it. It has chocolate and almond butter. That's all I need. Admittedly, there is a little more going on at first bite, flavor-wise, in the other bars. However, when I have to choose between all of the Nii Bar flavors, I can't help but buy the Almond Chocolate. It feels like a healthy treat. I think with this bar, probably because almonds aren't as flavor-specific as cashews or peanuts, you can taste the dates a little more than with the other bars. I don't mind dates, though, but if you do you may taste them more in this bar than any of the others. This bar is my mellow chocolate bar. It's not a candy bar, by far, but it has undertones of a sweet treat. I appreciate that - or, rather, my sweet tooth does. If you like chocolate and almonds, and you are okay with dates, you will probably love this bar, too. I have favorite flavors within the Nii brand, but overall, I would choose a Nii Bar (in any flavor) before any other bar on the market.The Berry Cashew flavor is my third favorite Nii Bar flavor (read my reviews of Peanut Butter and Almond Chocolate to know why it's third). The first flavor I taste biting into a Berry Cashew bar is definitely the berry. The flavor is more blueberry to me than cranberry (both in the Berry Cashew bar). Though the first ingredient is organic raw cashew butter, like the Cherry Coconut bar, the berry flavor pops first. All Nii Bars are chewy, dense but not dry (more like Larabars than Cliff bars). They are filling and packed with nutrients. I love having Nii Bars on hand for the kids. I feel no guilt or concern (even if they have two in a day). The only downside when I have them at home is that they don't last very long.
