It's worked well for washing vegetables and for draining pasta. The handles are sturdy, but the feet are not. They're two-pieces of plastic that snap together and one of the feet has already broken off with no way to repair it. The colander is still functional, since you can use the handles to prop it over the sink, but it won't sit evenly on the counter any more. For instance, I buy Trader Joe's cans of black beans, but need to wash off that unnecessary salt. So I can dump eight cans in that lengthy colander, and then use the spray device on my faucet to rinse off ALL the salt. Then I just leave the colander there for a few minutes, and all the salt and excess liquids (as well) drain out and down my sink drain.
