I was a bit concerned with how well the handle would hold up to lifting the trap door (roughly 35#), but they have held up nicely through some replumbing last year that meant we were probably in and out of that hatch 50+ times. The finish hasn't worn off, even though this hatch sees daily foot traffic. The size is just right for getting two or three fingers through the loop. Would buy again for this purpose, however since this came in pack of two, I have a spare, though don't anticipate needing it.
