The merchant does offer a return policy but the shipping cost that the merchant require is either equal or greater than the Nail-Aid product. I am more apt to think it would have happened by the machine and sometimes those things happen but it will make using it a bit harder so I will just need to use caution while I am opening and closing the bottle. The screw on just seems to be rough and won't work unless I force it closed, which leads me to think that it probably was a machine error, but since this has never happened before, I only took off one star. The product itself is great so I keep buying it as it does help to keep my nails strong and help with growth. I just apply one coat to my nails before applying polish or wraps then use a top coat to finish or this has even been used as a top coat if none other is available.
