The lid screws on securely and once you remove the lid you can drink straight from the bottle. The outside has a nice matte finish.Now the bad:The inside of the bottle (be it aluminium or whatever) started to peel off. I don't know when it started, but I only noticed it when I went to take a drink several weeks after owning the product and happened to glance in. MY biggest concern was that bits were floating in the water I was drinking. I had to pour two litres of water away, and as I was hiking and this was my only water source I wasn't happy.I am not giving it a 1 star review because of the customer service of Mountain Warehouse. I was able to take it back to the shop and they gave me a refund straight away after I'd showed them the fault. They did offer a replacement, but didn't exactly go "above and beyond" to help (We don't refund delivery, no apology, in fact hardly any conversation at all). I did try and return via amazon but Mountain Warehouse seem to want me to pay for the postage for the return (even for an obviously faulty product) and then if they find it faulty, they'll refund me. This seemed like a lot of hassle and it not the same as other companies I've dealt with.It is possible that I had a bad batch, but the chances of me having two bottles from the same bad batch as other reviewers who have had the same problem is unlikely I feel.In short, don't buy this product. Spend a few more pennies and get a BPA-free plastic bottle, it's worth it! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Does the job just fine and on price point. *by B***I on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 8 May 2021* No issue with leaking seals or tainted water. In some senses they feel sturdy enough but being thin aluminium you can still split them, so just don't drop it on a rocky mountain side when full, but that would take quite a knock on a sharp edge of a rock to happen. This happened to an identical bottle with a different branding.I can't fully comment on durability in terms of lifespan as I've used it a handful of times so far, but so far so good. ### ⭐⭐ Good Price But Arrived Dirty And Dented *by K***F on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 24 August 2018* Pros:- Cheaply priced.- Attractive colour.- Large 1 litre capacity.- Does not appear to leak at the lid like some bottle flasks.Cons:- Advertised as a new item, but arrived dirty and dented (see attached photos).- Tags suggest that the item is part of a promotional BOGOF offer, but this offer was not available when ordering.- Carbiner clip and (bent) key ring appear flimsy and may not last long.Conclusion:For the price, this doesn't seem like a bad bottle flask - I only wish it had arrived in the condition advertised, and I'm sure this is simply down to poor storage by Mountain Warehouse...
