I bought two to mount my inline duct fan - same brand S6. These made the install simple as they slip along the duct allowing the fan to be inserted in the gap. Then they both slide back to engage with the fan before tightening the supplied clamps. The fan didn’t require any other support or fixings and the rubber deadens any vibration. There was no noise from this installation other than air movement based on how much air was moved. See my review of the S6 fan which is excellent.
