The quality is outstanding and has far surpassed any disc I have tried in the past. These are seriously heavy duty and whether you pan on grinding or cutting material such as heavy duty metal, these discs should be able to do it with ease! The discs have a rough surface and upon trying them out, they were able to cut through Carbon Steel and even stainless steel.Very impressive indeed! What did shock me is that these are in line (price wise) with cheaper brands. Im sure that this is because you are buying in bulk, but each disc works out to just over £2.50 each which I find very competitive, especially considering the quality. Since the last few weeks of use, the disc has yet to show much wear and tear, so I doubt I would need to change them any time soon.Overall, a clear 5 star product by 3M! You can turn any project into a disaster as quick as you can say, 'Just a bit more,' using this type of disc....But, that aggressive cut is just what you need sometimes. If you are dealing with really tough to remove scale or want to get rid of a load of material then this is the way to go. And these are properly premium abrasive discs, no doubt about it.Fitted to my angle grinder these rip through anything with ease. They last forever and the level of crusty scale they can get rid of defies belief. These are an absolute must if you are doing heavy duty work.Of course these are just the discs. Yes you can buy cheaper but I am confident they will not last as well as these discs. Having used cheaper discs in the past, the wear rate on them can be poor so is often a false economy. I guess it depends how much and how often you need to use a grind disc.They are in their element grinding or cutting metal although you could use on wood it is possible the discs will clog, but I am unsure as they have not been tried on wood. The discs have a ceramic grain, and can work even on carbon steel which is harder than stainless steel.The disc shows minimal wear after a few uses, so I am confident these will last for ages.
