Worth the extra. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ First-class strings *by M***D on 19 November 2024* 80/20 Bronze strings generally do not last as long as Phosphor Bronzes but I bought these to brighten the sound of a guitar that sounds a little dark with PBs. They have done that very well indeed, and, having used D'Addario XS Phosphor Bronze previously, I expect them to last far longer than uncoated strings. For twice the price, they may last more than twice as long, like the PBs did. The XS PBs only felt slightly different from the uncoated version. These 80/20s hardly feel coated at all. If you do not much like coated strings, the XS range might be worth a look anyway. I suspect D'Addario have come up with a winner here. Update: these strings have now been on the guitar for four months. It is a backup guitar, so they are only played for a few minutes a day, but that is still a long time to keep a good tone and still be feeling good too.
