Review: take the camera lense cover off - not the best in low light conditions... very blurred, i tried the recording feature with the lense cover on and the quality was terrible so i took it off.. (the lense cover is only held on by a tiny blob of glue and comes off very easily) and the difference was night and day... very good quality recording the pen is very nice to write with just a little on the heavy side (edit) after only using it 3 times it has a mind of its own, it only records for 5-10 seconds and then switches off..

**Q: Can this record upto 8hrs?**
A: Probably not.  It fell apart 2nd time I turned it on

**Q: If it's a new SD card do you need to format it first**
A: I will never get anoter of these pens again, you try to Record and it just takes a pic, hold the button on the top for 2 sec the little light flash but it dose not record for more then a sec, don't wast your money, expensive pen for £28.99

**Q: Where is the memory card inserted?**
A: The pen unscrews, and the bottom half comes off so you can insert the card.

**Q: Can it be connected to iPad as I don’t have a device with a usb connection**

not the best in low light conditions... very blurred, i tried the recording feature with the lense cover on and the quality was terrible so i took it off.. The luxury pen with a hidden camera is a really useful item to carry around. it has the look of an expensive pen, good to pair with a nice suit. When charged the battery lasts long enough. It is unobtrusive, discreet and easy to use. Quality of the video is awesome. Its motion detection is sufficient. Would recommend it. I have bought the pen twice, the second after a few months when my brother took the first pen. He didn't know it was a spy camera when he took it. He might find out once the ink runs out.
