I tried multiple times and its not working.** A: 2 AA batteries they were very hard to put in. I suggest to flatten to connectors. That is what I did. Make sure that you do have them in the proper way as well. It took me a few tries before I got the batteries in. But once I did it worked awesome **Q: Sorry if this is a stupid question but will this make plant-based milk froth?** A: Plant based milks won't froth like dairy. Using a much larger mug than you actually need (or a separate container) is necessary for this application, creating more dishes. But the trade off would be lumps in your beverage, spending a ridiculous amount of time whisking by hand, or taking out a blender (which is creating many dishes & spending a similar amount of time in a less enjoyable way).What could be better?• the top of the handle is not flat, so it can’t be stored on the countertop standing upright.• product did not come with a stand for display or storage.• ***I store it in the jar my coffee spoons sit in on the countertop.
