A great heat sheild that you can mold how you need to fit. Review: Great alternative to crappy Ford parts - The exhaust heat shield for the muffler on my 2018 Ford Transit 150 was cracked in numerous places originating from the two mounting points. The OEM shield is poorly mounted so it just flips back and forth working it from the bolts. Ford actually uses materials similar to this sheet forward and rear of the exhaust shield but they instead used a big floppy piece of aluminum sheet metal. I didn’t feel like paying $100 for another shield that would ultimately fail. Instead I used the sheet as pictured and formed it similarly enough to the old one before fitting it. It’s smaller, yes, but still protects where it is needed. There are a couple spots under the van to the rear that I will be covering with some stick on exhaust shield sheet. I really appreciate that this stuff is sold, because it worked so well for me. ## Features - Dimensions: 15" x 39", 15 mil thick, heavy duty embossed aluminum. - This material is a good thermal insulator and can withstand continuous high temperatures of 1100°F. - Easy to cut and shape, suitable for mufflers, chassis, fuel tank, catalytic converters, engine compartments, battery, intake, etc. - Compared with ordinary heat insulation cloth, it will be more durable and better heat insulation effect. - Kit includes a heat shield, two 39" long stainless steel ties. Please pay attention to the sharp edge of the product when disassembling. ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B0B7F8C8P4 | | Best Sellers Rank | #148,981 in Automotive ( See Top 100 in Automotive ) #66 in Automotive Replacement Exhaust Heat Shields | | Brand | peastorm | | Customer Reviews | 4.7 4.7 out of 5 stars (342) | | Date First Available | July 22, 2022 | | Exterior | Metallic Finish | | Item Weight | 1.23 pounds | | Item model number | gere38-100 | | Manufacturer | peastorm | | Manufacturer Part Number | gere38-100 | | Product Dimensions | 17 x 3.3 x 3.3 inches | ## Images ![Peastorm Exhaust Heat Shield Automotive Embossed Aluminum Heat Shield Muffler Exhaust Wrap, 15" x 39" - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71n1Y9NQTdL.jpg) ![Peastorm Exhaust Heat Shield Automotive Embossed Aluminum Heat Shield Muffler Exhaust Wrap, 15" x 39" - Image 2](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71V4VEw9JPL.jpg) ![Peastorm Exhaust Heat Shield Automotive Embossed Aluminum Heat Shield Muffler Exhaust Wrap, 15" x 39" - Image 3](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/810sUsekkOL.jpg) ![Peastorm Exhaust Heat Shield Automotive Embossed Aluminum Heat Shield Muffler Exhaust Wrap, 15" x 39" - Image 4](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71wXnbondAL.jpg) ![Peastorm Exhaust Heat Shield Automotive Embossed Aluminum Heat Shield Muffler Exhaust Wrap, 15" x 39" - Image 5](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/81+M1+Q+opL.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Size** options. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Awesome and easy to work with *by I***! on September 15, 2026* I was impressed with this product. A great heat sheild that you can mold how you need to fit. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great alternative to crappy Ford parts *by P***6 on July 18, 2024* The exhaust heat shield for the muffler on my 2018 Ford Transit 150 was cracked in numerous places originating from the two mounting points. The OEM shield is poorly mounted so it just flips back and forth working it from the bolts. Ford actually uses materials similar to this sheet forward and rear of the exhaust shield but they instead used a big floppy piece of aluminum sheet metal. I really appreciate that this stuff is sold, because it worked so well for me. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Easier to use than I thought *by H***R on September 29, 2024* The item is easy to use. cutting it and molding it is not a problem, works exceptionally well blocking the heat. Although I must admit you have to be a little bit careful when making pronounced edges because it can break easily if too much force is applied. Perhaps someone with more experience can do a much better job than I did, but even without experience, I am happy with the results. ## Frequently Bought Together - Peastorm Exhaust Heat Shield Automotive Embossed Aluminum Heat Shield Muffler Exhaust Wrap, 15" x 39" - Metal Zip Ties 11.8 inch 100pcs 304 Stainless Steel Zip Ties Heavy Duty Multi-Purpose Self-Locking Cable Ties for Machinery, Vehicles, Exhaust Wrap, Farms, Pipes, Roofs, Cables, and Outdoor Fence - Metal Zip Ties 11.8 inch 100pcs 304 Stainless Steel Locking Cable 250LB 300mm Heavy Duty Exhaust Wrap Multi Purpose Binding for machinery, vehicles, farms, cables, pipes,Fence --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.tn/products/460920489-peastorm-exhaust-heat-shield-automotive-embossed-aluminum-heat-shield-muffler](https://www.desertcart.tn/products/460920489-peastorm-exhaust-heat-shield-automotive-embossed-aluminum-heat-shield-muffler) --- *Product available on Desertcart Tunisia* *Store origin: TN* *Last updated: 2026-10-25*
