They are good. More everything! *by R***R on Reviewed in the United States on October 13, 2017* conclusion...A bit of background: I'm in a lengthy process of buying, testing and reviewing full over-ear bluetooth headphones just due to the number of hours in an average day I listen to music with them - in the office, cooking in the kitchen, chores around the house, working in the yard or working on the cars, watching shows after kids are in bed. I'm drawing my upper boundary for paying for a superior set of headphones around $500-600 - of course you can spend more than a few thousand bucks on headphones but they can really only get SO good over bluetooth before... well, you get the point. And while my top three headsets to date (#3: Plantronics Backbeat Pro 2, #2: Bowers & Wilkins P7, #1: Bang & Olufsen H9) are $200, $400 and $500 respectively, I am completely agnostic about testing and trying the least expensive - quite to the point, I found this pair of $18 headphones to be completely acceptable in terms of delivering sound quality, from the deepest bass to the highest treble. https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B01JTYWJSI/ Cheap and light construction, to be certain, but I have tested out quite a bit more expensive units, such as Photive BTH3 ($40) and Bohm B-76 and equivalent whitelabels ($110) producing simply unacceptable, inferior bass even relative to the $18 pair above.First of all, the pictures don't lie. These are VERY pretty. The headband and adjustable arms pretty blatantly favor the Bang & Olufsen headphones - and do so pretty well - (faux) leather along the top with double stitching, the very nice, very precise machined aluminum arms. The back half of the shell is also matte aluminum, with a mirrored-finish beveled edge around the circled back, a subtle but visually appealing touch that doesn't fully register in the photos, but for which I also gave accolades to the excellent Bowers & Wilkins P7. Overall I'd rate these in the top tier of all headphones in terms of aesthetics; I'm not sure what I'd rate higher than these other than the B&O H9 itself.They are lightweight, and superbly comfortable. The arms actuate smoothly and firmly from the headband. The ear pads are pillowy soft and comfortable. One minor complaint, I have a large-ish head and they only barely reach over my ears. Anyone with a bigger head, or trying to wear these over any kind of hairdo, might find them a bit tight. They seem identical in "reach" to the BlueAnt Pump Zone headphones I just reviewed.Now for the sound, and I'll be brief: yes. Yes sir. They deliver. The bass is all there, deep and rich. The mids and trebles are balanced well and deliver superb performance across the range. They deliver inky, deep, performant bass without being at all 'muddled' - without dousing the prominent vocals, piano, strings, and crisp treble that covers the full range. Hisses, ticks, rasps - you hear it all, uncompromising. There is no amp/DAC static whatsoever. Quiet is quiet. Loud is loud. Mids are warm. Bass is luscious. Treble sparkles. It's all there. Like I like to say: good sound means "more everything!"I will say these are clearly among the top headphones for sound quality under $200, and possibly under $400. Better even than my esteemed iDeaUSA "rounded rectangle" (no model name/number in the listing) over-ear headphones - which are also very good. These are better. These make better treble. Those are very, very good; these are better.These have no ANC and I have not yet tested call quality or bluetooth connection quality.I love the sound trim on these. Together with the aesthetic and build quality these may arguably move up into one of my top spots. I may do a side-by-side with my Bowers & Wilkins P7 and Plantronics BackBeat Pro 2 to see how they sit alongside those. As I'm listening through all of my favorite test tracks, I'm finding these to be one of my big "pleasant surprises". Not just "for the price", but "for any price". There's only one other pair in this price range I've found comparably bigger-sounding than you would have expected for what you paid. Several good to very-good ones ranging from $30 to $70, but only these and the iDeaUSA headphones I referenced above. Those are very very good; these are better. These are excellent.Very happy here. These clearly sit near the top of my lineup. I can comfortably highly recommend them, especially given the price; you can not regret given the value. But I find some sound quality lacking. I've noticed plenty of songs where there is some quiet crackling when notes clash. I didn't notice it at first, maybe because I hadn't broken it in much. Maybe because most music I listen to is too loud to hear any crackling. But when listened to some more melodic music, I'm noticing some crackling. If this keeps persisting, I'll have to return these. It's really a pity, as I love the balance in these headphones.I'm pretty impressed with these. I almost felt like I was taking a gamble by purchasing these due to the sparse reviews. I'm skeptical of some reviews, as I know there are plenty of companies that will fake reviews on amazon to get other buyers interested. I bought these, and knew I could return them if they didn't live up to expectations. The reviews are correct though, these sound and look great. They are worth the price.The bass is more defined than my pricier pair of Audio Technica A700's. Although these aren't as clear overall, they're stunning for $60. The bluetooth is clear, although I was having some stuttering issues on my home PC. These issues haven't been found on my work laptop, nor on my phone so perhaps my PC at home has some bluetooth latency issues.I haven't used them for more than an hour at a time, but I haven't experienced any aching from them yet.The metal struts that come down are aluminum, and the outside portion of the cups are aluminum. Underneath the housing is plastic, and the section connected to the earpads is plastic. Despite this, I don't hear any creaking of plastic parts as I move and adjust the headphones. They feel as solid as they look. The leather strap above is double stitched. I didn't notice any sections that were in danger of fraying. The leather looks and feels legitimate. Honestly, I can't tell if its real or not. It definitely adds a classy touch that separates it from other generic plastic headphones in this price range.I decided to test the wired mode (make sure you turn the bluetooth connection off first). The wired connection is just as clear and loud from what I can tell. Volume in bluetooth mode is separate from the computer. This means that pressing the volume buttons on the headphones will not change the broadcast volume of your phone or computer. Some increments of the volume jump a little bit more than others, but its mostly negligible.There is a some leaking from these headphones, but it's not terrible. I just wouldn't recommend blasting music in a small office space.I listen to mostly rock and these headphones are very well balanced across the spectrum. I tried with a few rap songs, and it handled them well. The ultimate test for any song is to play Johnny Cash "Hurt". The bridge of that song is enough to shake and rattle any cans. Sadly, these didn't resist the shaking. Despite this, these headphones are just nice. If you're on the edge about buying them, take a chance. I'm well pleased so far. I paid for these.Recommendation: Buy these for yourself or give as a gift...price point is excellent.I've been searching for a good pair of comfortable Bluetooth (wireless) headsets since replacing a laptop (Bluetooth compatable) and a smart TV. You pair these with your smart TV or you laptop or you iPhone, etc. Personally I use these whenever I use my laptop and don't want anyone to be disturbed. I then use these at night when wife is asleep and I don't want her to be disturbed while watching TV.
