It does stain your grass a dark color but the grass returns to its green color after a few weeks. The product does kill the ground moss though. It was dead the following morning. **Q: Can i use this product on St. Augustine lawns?** A: You should be able to **Q: Can it be used on Knock out Rose bushes? There is some type of moss growing on the larger stems.** A: Not this product . Lilly Miller spot treater for lawn & flower bed can be used. **Q: How long after applying should I wait before planting new grass seed?** A: I seeded a couple of days after applying the Moss Out. By the time the seed had germinated (about 10 days later) I doubt there was much of the Moss Out product left in the soil, and my new grass came up just fine. Be aware that this product kills moss plants but not moss spores, so the moss will come back with a vengeance in a few weeks. It loves the same moist conditions needed to germinate grass seed. I applied Moss Out again on the same area. It killed the moss immediately but did no harm to the tender new grass shoots.
