Arrived in good condition. Taste was as expected with a pleasant tartness and the berries were dark red a slightly moist texture and with a healthy appearance. Review: Absolutely delicious and nutritious! - I never knew the berries on the barberry bushes in my back yard were so nutritious! I read an article in my health newsletter that they are packed with antioxidants so I looked for them on desertcart. I was hesitant to order after reading so many bad reviews of the barberries. Some were old, some dried out and some had BUGS! This provider however sells barberries that are tender and fresh and free from mold. They add a delicious "bite" of sourness to my salads. I have already re-ordered and will continue to do so. Highly recommend. This is a quality product! ## Features - Zereshk Dried Barberries have a delicious tart flavor that complements savory and sweet recipes alike - They are most commonly used to add tanginess to saffron rice and meat dishes - Dried barberries also make an enticing addition to chicken salad, couscous, roasted vegetables and soups. - Keep refrigerated. Sort and wash before use. Ingredients: Barberries - Allergen: Packed on shared equipment with wheat, tree nuts, soy and sesame. ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B0747M1YVW | | Best Sellers Rank | #34,744 in Grocery & Gourmet Food ( See Top 100 in Grocery & Gourmet Food ) #115 in Dried Berries | | Brand | Sadaf | | Brand Name | Sadaf | | Customer Reviews | 4.4 out of 5 stars 1,046 Reviews | | Diet Type | Vegetarian | | Item Form | Dried | | Item Package Weight | 0.2 kg | | Item Weight | 6 ounces | | Manufacturer | Sadaf | | Number of Pieces | 1 | | Package Weight | 0.2 kg | | Size | 6 Ounce (Pack of 1) | | UPC | 604310998707 | | Unit Count | 6 Ounce | ## Product Details - **Brand:** Sadaf - **Item Weight:** 6 ounces - **Number of Pieces:** 1 - **Package Weight:** 0.2 kg - **Size:** 6 Ounce (Pack of 1) ## Images ![Barberries Dried - Zereshk Dried Barberries - Persian groceries - 6 oz Package - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/51gVdRyXxKL.jpg) ## Questions & Answers **Q: are these whole berries or cut?** A: Whole Barberries ( Zereshk ) **Q: What is country of origin?** A: Iran, I believe. **Q: Gluten free?** A: it is gluten free like any other fruit.
