Wanted to try but didn't want 6 package so I picked up a package at Walmart and followed the microwave direction on the package. When I removed pouch from the microwave there was a smell, which I assume came from the packaging; but when I emptied the penne into my pot of sauce I was truly shocked! The pasta was the size of half cooked MINI Penne and the color was brown like uncooked whole wheat pasta. The texture wasn't hard or crispy but definitely NOT el dente either, it was down right CHEWY and TOUGH! The picture perfect WHITE Penne on the package is very deceiving, as that's not what comes out of the pouch!
