It sands VERY well! I used a dremel, though regular sandpaper works as well - just takes a while to sand. It's important to note that it doesn't stay up on its own, this stuff works best when putting it on a base. I used upholstery foam. It doesn't stick too well before it dries, so I used a tiny bit of hot glue here and there to keep it in place. Once it dries it sticks perfect! Spray paint also works very well on it! I didn't even get through the entire package, i still have about 1/3 of it left for this giant cosplay skull i did. HIGHLY recommend this stuff. Important to note; this stuff takes a while to dry fully! I'd give it 3 full days before working on sanding or painting it. I am making fake marshmallows and they do not dry righ?.** A: the sugar may be partially dissolving in the resin. I would string them with needle and thread and hang horizonally.
