I did not see the 03 nib is not finer or thinner than the EF nib. I won’t recommend the 03 nib as it is getting “scratchy” and unpleasant writing experience. As a reference, I have the platinum 3776 pen that I enjoy using. ==== I got the 2 pieces set. EF nib. Pros: - Fantastically smooth! - Light weight. Easy to control. - The pen feels good. Anti-slippery. This means that I can write a long time without feeling tired. Writing gets addictive. Cons: - Quality control is a huge problem. I purchased the 2 PCS set. One of them gets the nib miss aligned. The nib turns out to be extremely hard to adjust. I tried to fix it by myself but failed. The other works just fantastic! It is a lottery. If you receive a malfunctioned one, simply return it and do not try to fix it, which will make the same mistake I did. - The finish is ok. I agree that the plastic finish is far away from lamy safari for example, but still ok to me.
