It’s a beautiful color and I love that the natural leather will wear with age and use. This is my first travelers journal so I was very excited to get it. I plan to use it for writing, and also To organize bill paying and my schedule. I loved that I could change notebooks out as my needs changed. The book was well wrapped for shipping. It was in a bubble mailer and wrapped in a plain brown box with a band around it. It was simple yet pretty enough to gift. Inside, it was also wrapped in cloth to protect the book. It came with a pen clip and a charm (I appreciated that but I may find my own style!). The one flaw is I expected more bands inside the binding instead of just one. This will fit three books but I had hoped to fit four. I may still try to fit four once I get my connector bands. There is very little overhang of leather on the edge of the books so if I add a fourth book the cover may not cover them all. That is the only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 but I realize I may be trying to over-extend this book! I really like the band that encloses it, this whole thing feels well designed.Being refillable makes it scalable which suits me right down to the ground and I know I will be using this journal for a long time to come.I bought one as a gift and ended up having to have one as my own. I'm glad my green eyed tendency lead me to this, in the beautiful dark green of course... My expectations were beyond exceeded. The photos are the Dark Green Traveler’s notebook. The cover is incredibly soft and feels lovely. I noticed when I moved the closure across the cover, it scuffed it a bit. Being a tactile weirdo, I felt the need to see how hard i needed to scratch it to leave a deep mark and the answer is NOT VERY HARD. This is great, to me, because I love distressed soft leather covers. Inside, there are 3 notebooks and a kraft envelope. There’s a gridded notebook, a lined one, and a blank one. A pen loop was also included, but alas - my favorite pen doesn’t fit in it! A regular pen fits it fine, however.
