This portable, affordable and adorable crafting system designed for detailed (plastic backed or wafer-thin) dies and embossing folders up to 2.5 inches wide, including Sizzix 12 inch Decorative Strip dies. The Sidekick will cut a single sheet of lightweight to cardstock paper. Aqua cutting pads and embossing pad makes all Sizzix thin dies and embossing folders up to 2.5 inches compatible and works with other brands' dies.This small roller machine weighs 2 pounds, stands 4.75 inches tall and features a three-year limited warranty. This package contains one Sidekick machine, six Framelits dies, two Thinlits dies, two small Textured Impressions embossing folders and seven stamps. WARNING: Choking Hazard, small parts. Imported.

Review: Great little machine - It is SMALL! But, that is what you want. It fits most word dies and butterfly, dragonfly and stuff like that. It is only 2.5 inches wide, so small dies fit fine. I love it because of its size. Some people said it was too small, but if you know what to expect you won't be surprised by that. It is so portable and nice to bring with to card making parties! I would highly recommend this item. I did try a different one first and it would not cut. This one has no problem cutting any of my dies I have tried in it. It will leave marks on the plates, but that is normal. At some point you will need to order new cutting plates.

**Q: Wondering if you ended up buying the larger size Sizzix? The dies need the be very small for this machine.**
A: I already have the full size Big Shot.  Just bought this for smaller dies and does not take up as much room on my work space.

**Q: What's the difference between the special edition and the other?**
A: I don’t see any difference - except the price!  I have the white/grey option and it came with the cutting plates, embossing plate and dies and embossing folders.  I am very happy with it.  I have a regular size big shot but so many of my dies are small and I can use this right at my crafting table.

**Q: I have a hard time shimming my original sidekick.  Is this new one improved that detail or do you still find yourself adding additional shimming?**
A: The updated version has thicker acrylic cutting plates to accommodate wafer thin dies. No adapter nor thick shimming is needed.

**Q: any die can be used**
A: Yes, as long as it is small/narrow enough to fit thru the opening. Thinlits or framelits work fine.   You could not fit a platform ( thick ) die....I do not think.

It is SMALL! But, that is what you want. It fits most word dies and butterfly, dragonfly and stuff like that. It is only 2.5 inches wide, so small dies fit fine. I love it because of its size. Some people said it was too small, but if you know what to expect you won't be surprised by that. It is so portable and nice to bring with to card making parties! I would highly recommend this item. So glad I got this! I have the big shot, but it’s a lot of work extra arm cranking when I do small die cuts. Having this little one saves me some effort. Wish I had got this years ago. Love the great Sizzex quality! Got this during Black Friday so a fantastic price too.
