**Q: Am I understanding this correctly?  The only way to stop the dog from barking is to completely turn it off?**
A: That seems to be right.  I love this toy for my grandkids.   I can remove the 'leash', and it seems like it reacts to sound, as it will start moving and barking if someone is loud.   But so far, I connect the leash and push the bottom of the paw print to turn it off then I pull out the leash.   That has worked.   To play again, plug the leash in and push bottom of paw and it starts up.  I was not able to find any other 'on/off' button.

Concerning your question, we recommend you should turn off the switch at the belly of the dog toy or turn off the switch of the dog toy through the remote control leash. Steps about turning off the puppy toy dog:  to press it twice continuously to stop the toy working, for example, press the dog toy once to start working, and press it again to stop working.

**Q: Does the dog bark automatically,or does child push a button? Can you turn off barking?**
A: The dog barks, pants and whines in sort of an extended pattern as it walks around. When you have it plugged into the leash, you can control when it walks with the button on the leash. You can't turn the barking off without turning the dog off completely. It does go into a sleep mode if nobody is playing with it, but it "wakes up" with a touch or even sometimes a loud vibration such as a big heavy truck passing by.

Just as soon as I get this dog from my granddaughter, I’m gonna send it back and ask for my money in return because it’s it worked three seconds if that I don’t know what the problem was I don’t care what’s the problem was I had a disappointed grandchild and that’s what matters to me. The product did not work no more than three seconds.
