I purchased this to replace a DVR system purchased a year ago from another manufacturer on amazon that stopped working.It was VERY simple to set up, by that I mean no broken English that needed to be deciphered. I installed the old hard drive out of my previous system (500gb), and it worked fine. The app they recommend (chere) installed easily as well. All I had to do was input my IP address, I should also note that the ports required to use the application (9000 and 80) were already forwarded in my router.Motion capture works much better than my previous system. The moment someone, or something, enters the screen it begins to record. I'm still learning how the playback works but it does show what was recorded.All in all, it's a solid system that easily integrated into my existing setup.
