I love the clean look these provide, without the distraction of the wires visible with traditional plate hangers. The trick is to make sure that the glue is very tacky before applying the hangers & that the backs of the plates have been washed with soap & dried to remove any oil from your hands or other residue. Allow to dry overnight & check to be sure the hangers have adhered fully. If not, you can peel back any loose edges, re-wet & reseal once the glue is tacky.Allowing the glue to dry completely is key. Test the strength of the bond before hanging your plates. After following the directions closely, the next day I found that about 6 didn't stick at all. I purchased more and repeated the process. They seemed to be REALLY stuck on the back of the plate the second time around. I hung 21 of my great grandmothers and grandmothers plates/saucers. They have been on the wall for about 2 months now and in the last week 2 of them have fallen. The disk remained hanging from the nail while my plate ended up on the floor in pieces. It was not a matter of weight. I used the proper size on each plate and followed all the directions, cleaning the plates etc as recommended.
