I was using them to train a cat to notify me that he wanted out. It was a bit too long and kept getting caught in the door so I had to replace them for wrist bells that I placed on the doorknob. It would be nice to have a set of bells in an between length to make it easier to reach but not too long or a way to shorten them to accommodate differing heights/needs.
