It smells lovely and clean, has big salt chunks that work effectively but don't hurt or irritate and it does a wonderful job. It is a luxurious treat and as I purchased the large size, will go on for some time so value for me. I would not overuse this as it would dry the scalp I think, but used 1-2 times a month, it does the job very nicely.
