## Description

Build a faster brain and a better you with this invaluable handbook from the New York Times bestselling author of The Culture Code and The Talent Code. “ The Little Book of Talent should be given to every graduate at commencement, every new parent in a delivery room, every executive on the first day of work. It is a guidebook—beautiful in its simplicity and backed by hard science—for nurturing excellence.”—Charles Duhigg, #1 New York Times bestselling author of The Power of Habit Whatever talent you set out to build, from golfing to learning a new language to playing guitar to managing a startup, be assured of one thing: You are born with the machinery to transform beginners’ clumsiness into fast, fluent action. That machinery is not controlled by genes, it’s controlled by you. The Little Book of Talent is an easy-to-use handbook of scientifically proven, field-tested methods to improve skills—your skills, your kids’ skills, your organization’s skills—in sports, music, art, math, and business. The product of five years of reporting from the world’s greatest talent hotbeds and interviews with successful master coaches, it distills the daunting complexity of skill development into 52 clear, concise directives. Whether you’re age 10 or 100, whether you’re on the sports field or the stage, in the classroom or the corner office, this is an essential guide for anyone who ever asked, “How do I get better?”

Review: Practical Follow-Up to The Talent Code–Short, Useful Tips After Reading It Twice - Having recently finished reading Daniel Coyle’s The Talent Code for the second time, I picked up his follow-up, The Little Book of Talent: 52 Tips for Improving Your Skills. It’s a short, fast, easy-to-read book packed with practical tips that you can actually use to get better at anything. Unlike The Talent Code, which builds its ideas through longer stories and context, this one skips the narrative and just delivers the helpful information straight. It’s not deep or revolutionary, but it’s useful and to the point—exactly what I wanted for quick application.
Review: Great book!! - This book was short and too the point. So much great knowledge in such a little package is rare these days. I have read some reviews on here saying that its "a good book but not a system". I guess that's true to an extent, but I like the book better as it is. Right now you can pick out of the 52 tips to make your own system if that's what you want. I mean really how hard can it be? If the author tried to put the tips into a system I don't feel it would be applicable to such a wide variety of talents. Anyway the tips for improvement are well researched, simple, and I have found them to be very effective. Not only that but reading the book gives you so many things to try, you cant help being left motivated and hopeful to improve at whatever you wish.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ This book is like an actionable summary of the talent code
*by M***L on February 22, 2015*

This book is like an actionable summary of the talent code. The talent code contains much of the latest research and case studies on how to learn things very well and to learn them quickly. It is hard to put it all together after reading that book. I feel like this book is the bookshelf companion with little reminders, whereas the other book(talent code) is best read on a kindle cover to cover. I enjoyed this book, it was quick and easy as well.
