I am able to put a 32 ounce bottle of powerade and 3 10 ounce bottles of water along with lots of food into this bag. To keep things cold I put in a flexible ice pack and the items stay cold all day even in the heat of the day. The upper portion of the bag can hold anything, I use it for spare items to take with me at work: A small radio, extra batteries, a cell phone charger and actually a tablet. You could use the upper storage for food or whatever. This is a very durable, well made bag and it's very tough. There are even mess pockets on each side of the bag to put more items you need to bring with to work or wherever you are bringing this item. I can't say enough good things for this lunch bag. The quality and stitching are EXCELLENT. There are 2 separate compartments. I can pack 2 waters, a medium glass container of fruit, a medium glass container of last night's dinner, a large ice pack, a small container of rice, utensils, napkins, and vitamins. It can handle the weight! Plus there are small pouches on the outside for keys and cards. This lunchbox is big and caves down a bit when not filled, so I wouldn't purchase this one if you don't have much to fill it with. UPDATE: We've been stuffing this one every weekday and it takes and it takes and it still looks good!
