It came longer so you can cut to fit. Kind of hard to cut it with the scissors i had but i did it. It protects my desk & is so sleek. It seems to be good quality to me. It is thick enough not to rip or crack and fits my table perfectly...give or take a half and inch, which could easily be cut with utility knife. When it came, it was rolled, so I did have to hold down the edges with books and things. I kept them on for a day or so and now it lays nice. The picture is when I first received it and had to use things to hold it down.
