However, the bath pipes in my 116 year old building shed enough rust to make bath water light brown, and to gradually turn the bottom of my shower curtain a bright rust color. This filter, as well as the one I use in a separate hand-held, eliminates that problem. As the water is chlorinated here, I imagine that that is removed as well.

**Q: Does this affect the water pressure?**
A: It does affect water pressure, but in our case not enough to stop using it.

**Q: will this remove iron and sulfer smell (rotten eggs) ?? well water**
A: Bought mine from lowes.  About to order here and yes gets rid of rotten egg smell . I'm on well water.
Hard water also improved. Very happy I use these

**Q: Does the entire filter itself have to be uninstalled and reinstalled when replacing the cartdridge?**
A: I would assume that you would have easy access to the cartridge by just unscrewing the filter and taking out the old cartridge filter.

I’ve used these filters for a couple of decade. The only difference between now and back then is the price. These days it’s more, but I don’t mind for the quality of what I’m getting. Having softer hair and my skin not suffering as it use to is still great. When I travel and have to stay at a hotel or someone’s house without a chlorine filter can tell the difference. My hair is so dry ifs difficult to style. At this stage in life having filtered water for hair and skin is even more important as I age. Sometimes it’s a pain to swap out the replacement because the filter holder has suffered from the chlorinated water and the holder has issues. But it’s easy to get a replacement that comes with a new filter. The holder, for me, lasts a half dozen or so years. I appreciate the company has continued to produce quality filters for a decent price
