I got this mainly because of the dark spots on my head from sun damage and exposure. It is light on your face depending on the amount that you put on. Once I had it on, I could feel that it was at work. When you apply it, the texture is a bit gritty. After you let it sit, it dries like a clay mask. It is in a small container that makes it easy to fit in a mirror cabinet or drawer. A little goes a long way with this so it will last for some time. It has been easy for me to wash off. It may take sometime to see results but it does mention that you can use this up to twice a week. I have sensitive skin so I am glad that this did not break me out and it does not have Hydroquinone which is known to be used for skin bleaching and can cause sensitivity to sun exposure and skin irritation. It didnt dry out my face when I wash it off. When I ran out I bought another jar but immediately noticed that the consistency of it was much thinner and definitely not as dark of a charcoal gray as the first bottle I bought. I suspected that it had been mixed with a filler or watered down to make it go farther? Needless to say it didn't work as well as the first jar I bought and I think it's pretty clear why.
