I have a 2020 Subaru Outback and I will be mounting some LED roof lights to the cross bar, seeing as these are not expensive and looked decent I decided I would go for it and be a test subject. Pros 1.) Build Quality is very nice and solid. 2.) Coating looks like it will hold up to the harsh elements nicely. Cons (For My Application) 1.) Weight, I think that in this application weight might be your enemy, I don't see them staying put with to much weight since they are not completely grasping the bar itself. For the small lights I plan to use it should be fine. 2.) Obviously the shape is not the same, oval vs round means gaps. Does it look bad, no. Does it look good, no. I feel like in day to day use no one will notice this minor con except for me. These might be a temporary solution until I find something that will work better for me, until then these are just fine.
