However I dip it back it water and every time it comes back out brand new. You can't be too heavy handed with these products nevertheless gets the job done.The mop head lasted me about 6 months and I had to watch a youtube video on how to change it. At first i thought the replacement mop head was the wrong fit but it fits perfect once I finally figured it out. Also I seen these at the 99 only cents store for 2.99 after my purchase. I had one similar back about 20 years ago. I kept looking in the stores, but I never found one like it. All I could find was strips of some kind of lightweight material...not what I wanted and I never bought one of them. I always thought what I had was chamois material. One day I thought about my old mop when I was looking for things online...and lo and behold I found it! If this is or is not the same brand of mop I had years ago, I just don't care...I like it and that's all that counts. Whether you are mopping up a spill or the whole floor it doesn't matter this twist mop does a good job. Looks and works like the one that came out in the (80s or 90s?). Not sure of the decade. Only thing I don't like is that it's a two piece handle/pole that snaps together. Although it seems strong enough to withstand the wringing of the mop head it rattles a little bit; a little loose where the 2 halves connect. Find that a little annoying. It' may seem a little pricey for a retro mop but it does come with an extra mop head.
