Before I attempted, I talked with their support desk (very helful), and they explained that it wasn't recommended as being too heavy and the desk might tip. While I was concerned with the weight, there was no way the desk would tip, so I proceeded with the installation, which included a HX arm. Modifications: -Drilled through the steel plate in the desk to accomodate the stud mount included with the HX arm -Replaced the wing nut with a standard hex nut -Used a dremmel tool to cut the 6" stud in order to clear the desk's hardware when lowering Result: -The desk is significantly heavier with 3 23" monitor, however, I am able to raise it without too much effort -The desk is stable and I am able to articulate the arm without a problem Final comments: Quality, adjustability, and customer service are excellent. I had to spend a lot of time to figure out what arm was needed for this monitor system. It would be really handy if Ergotron suggested the correct related product on their website. While the installation went well, I am concerned that in the long term, the weight of the monitors on the arm will warp the TX desktop. I've put a tape dispenser under the 'handle' used articulate the system to support some of the weight and prevent some the bounce of the monitors when typing. Review: A real love & hate affair. I would buy it again though. - I have three 24inch monitors. This is the ONLY monitor arm that's capable of doing this (with all three monitors on one arm). In case you don't know yet, you need both the arm and this bow kit to get everything to work. Firs the good: - It's very robust and everything is well built. With three 24" monitors (each weights about 7 lbs), the arm handles them with ease. I can use the handle to move the monitors easily without much wobbling (make sure you desk is made of good quality solid wood). -Polished chrome is a personal taste, which not mine. But it's what was available to me. -Installation was easy, albeit the alignment/leveling of the three monitors which I will get to later. -Cable management is good. With the MST (multi-stream transport), I ran one mini DP from computer to one of the three monitors. Then use additional shorter mDP to daisy chain all three monitors together in series. So cable management from the computer, up the arm, to the monitors was easy. Even if you don't use MST, the cavity in the arm will have no problem handling all the cables. Now the bad: -Heavy, you must have solid test to handle the load. -Very expensive. I understand the need for this type of arm is probably a lot lower than the dual monitors setup, but there is got to be a more economical solution out there. With both arm and this bow kit, it totaled over $600 including tax. The WORST: I have no problem paying the premium to get a quality product or solution. But with the premium we are paying for this solution, I would expect the leveling of three monitors to be much better and more intuitive. If you look at the pictures I have attached, you can the two monitors to the side of the center monitor is considerably lower (about 1/8"). Trust me, I have tried everything to try to get everything leveled, nothing worked. If it weren't for the 4 plastic adhesive strips that they included, it would've been worst. VERY BUMMED OUT. Wish they can fix this. If you research a bit online, you can see that everyone has this problem. BUT, like I said in the title, I would still buy it again if nothing else is available. It's the only option available. If so can which part is needed to be able to mount on the wall not the desk** A: I’m not sure, I have 3 23” monitors. I believe there is a separate type that wall mounts. Call Ergotron directly, their sales department is very helpful. **Q: can the center vesa mount be removed from the bow or is it integral for attaching the arm?** A: center mount is not integral to attaching the arms. not sure about removing it **Q: Could this accomodate two 24 inch monitors with a 27 inch in the middle?** A: Yes, in fact you can even get triple 27" displays if they have a thin bezel. But as mentioned, make sure the total weight of the displays doesn't exceed the 30.6 lb weight rating of the bow, which is deliberately and necessarily lower than the 42 lb. weight rating of the single display stand. **Q: What is attached to the wall?** A: This is an independent bow, the arm is sold seperately which you will need. All together this contraption which can hold up to 3 screens. Make sure it’s compatible with your screens. This Ergotron Bow with the arm (sold separately) can be clamped to a desk. It can be attached to the wall but you will need the right model support arm to achieve that. I would advise against it if you have sheet-rock walls, due to the weight-bearing of the Triple Monitor Bow and Arm attached to 3 monitors...it will be very heavy. Ergotron, if you are reading this, help us out!!!! ### ⭐⭐⭐ Lacking individual height adjustments *by B***2 on January 15, 2018* Fit & finish seems to be nice, however there is a glaring omission that can cause one's OCD tendencies to kick in: there is no individual height adjustment for each monitor. There is a slight height mismatch between my identical monitors, due to the outer beams having a slight downward angle in relation to the center beam. I've purchased triple-monitor desk arms in the past that have this, so to me this not a flattering look for Ergotron. I've been happy with various other big-ticket ergotron products, but this is the first that has disappointed me a bit. Ergotron support basically told me that most people don't care about this, so deal with it. I'm looking into getting vesa-to-vesa lift adapters to correct this problem.
