Everything good that was said about these dishes is true. There is a weight to them, they feel sturdy and look great. The dishes are a good size; bowls are deep and cups are plenty big. The salad plates are beautiful. I wanted a very neutral set of dishes that would go with every season and event; these fit the bill. The words kept disappearing in the dishwasher and ended clogging the hose so had to have the dishwasher repaired. After just a few months I ended up with only a few plates out of 12 place settings that had the name of the company and design. I have a set of dishes that I have used every day for 50 years and the name of the company and design are still there like new. I bought 12 setting of these and ended up giving them to someone else with a warning. Also they stained every time I used them. I called the office and they told me to use baking soda and water to clean the dishes. My old set never stained until this last year since they were used for 50 years so I did not expect brand new dishes to stain so bad. I do not have the time to remove the stains each time I used them. The new dishes appeared to be “seconds” and should not have been sold. The manufacture would not give me my money back even though I contacted them a few months after I bought them. They told me I had to send them the plates and they would only replace them. I had ordered 12 place settings. These dishes were suppose to be a highly regarded brand but did not live up to their reputation.
