Box is a bit funky for a high end item. Bought for $12 through Warehouse Deals - cardboard outer box was damaged. It looks and feels like high quality-these are made in China, but of course a real Laguiole carving set runs $300 or a lot more. Comes medium sharp, but improves with proper sharpening. I am picky about quality and this is VERY acceptable for the money.
