For example, it does not fit a 2006 Silverado 1500 because the side bracket holes are too far back to mount my new radio. Unfortunately for me, I already broke off the required tabs (mess) and hooked up the wiring harness, or I would be returning it. The instructions suck too and the red wire coming off the radio doesn't get hooked up to the red wire in the other harness.
