I just finished a plumbing job to move a hose bib to another location by burying copper pipes and this touch on a hose made soldering below ground easier than trying to hold a bottle at those angles. Map gas is worth the extra cost. It heats up so much faster than propane. At one point the pipe on the house I was connecting to had a little bit of water left in it and I just went for it and it had no issue evaporating that water and letting me solder the coupler. The thing I really like about this torch is the on/off nature of it. You simply pull the trigger and it lights, release and it's off. No fumbling with multi twist valves or strikers. Thank you** A: I used this to solder the no lead solder on copper water pipes and it done just fine....! I like this product and the electronic lighting **Q: Does it come with the holder? And can you use Map gas tank with it?** A: The Bernzomatic BZ8250HT Trigger-Sta...working reliably. I use Map gas. It's professional thing. **Q: How hot does this torch get?** A: I don't know the heat of MAPP with this torch but using propane I have heated bolts and nuts hot enough to have them loosen and of course I mostly use this torch to solder copper to brass fittings. It doesn't turn bolts pink but perhaps the MAPP would. I don't need the heat hot enough to do silver soldering. I don't know if the torch with propane will anneal the copper but the MAPP would. It is great to be able to twist the torch around in fairly tight spaces where using a bottle and torch head won't fit. **Q: Does this torch adapt to a 20 pound** A: No! It only attaches to either the propane or MAPP bottles used in small applications such as camping type bottles.
