Is this a typo or actually true?** A: No 12" sounds about right, it does a great job once you figure out the correct heat settings.recommend **Q: Will this reseal the Amazon Prime shipping envelopes we get for returns to Amazon?** A: Yes if they're the same type of bags they ship items to us with. I've resealed their bags to send back items to them. **Q: I bought this sealer over three months ago and is still working nicely, however I was wondering if I could use a thicker heat element?** A: No a thicker element would pull more power and blow the fuse if you want a thicker element you have to buy one triple the cost. I just double seal **Q: Can you use this on Mylar balloons?** A: Don't see why not all it does is heat and melt plastics. I would do a little research into what exactly what MYLAR IS MADE OF. You can adjust the heating range ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Works out of the box…unless u need to seal and cut. *by M***T on April 22, 2023* The sealer worked straight out of the box, without issue. My problem is that it was not clear at all that you had to change out the sealing wire to get it to seal and cut. Once I figured that out, by looking at other listings, I was able to figure out I need to put the round wire in there.Replacing the sealing wire is a pain, but doable. If you aren’t dexterous, good luck. But they are all like this. TIP; be very gentle with the screws holding the wire in. They seem to be floating or something and are very fragile feeling.Overall, the product works great, seals quickly, and does exactly what I need.Tip: start at like heat 3 and see if that works. Make sure to wait at least that full second after the light goes off. It’s important.Not sure why none of the questions are answered correctly indicating it can seal and cut.The instructions might as well have been in Latin, because they made no sense and provided no real use. Just watch the video they have. Pretty simple to use.While some people say they received a unit that needed additional repair to work, mine worked straight out the box.I’d recommend this unit.
