Before even trying these I submerged them in salt water for a week and no rust or discoloration at all. They snap to my snap plier set very very well as many snaps do not and you have to press with decent pressure when snapping them to the seat shell which is great because they hold a tight snap and do not come loose like every other set I have tried. I would recommend these tremendously...I am purchasing more now.
