The back of the pelt has some uneven coloring, perhaps from when it was drying, but I didn't bother to see if this would improve with washing because it's on the back and is unimportant to me. It arrived well packaged and didn't have any off odors, as some other reviews have complained about- it smelled like leather goods. I am giving this 5 stars because it is good value for the money. PS to be very clear, the photo is from after I cut the slits to access the seat straps. The pelt comes whole, as it should.
