You get two complete sets, including two remotes. But, one remote will control both strands. Which was perfect for me. Because this is an LED system, with a micro-processor power supply and controller. The battery pack will last a LOOOONG time. You can leave them on for like 4 hours at a time, and still get many weeks (months?) of use.
