You've possibly just had Knee Replacement like me and are struggling with what to do about the white ones. These are the answer. The rubber at the top is about an inch and a half wide and it holds! BUT, I highly suggest measuring your legs where it says to measure and using their chart. I'm not a 2XL lady, but I def required their 2XL in these. Anything over their measurements I would check for a different item offering.... Maybe they call it plus size. It doesn't matter what size you have to buy, just know they don't coincide with real world sizes. 🤣 They're going to look short when you pull them out ... But put em on, you'll see. Great product. What size should I get?** A: Medium you want them smallest away from ur body and if you use kitchen rubber gloves to pull them on you can get them up more and more! **Q: How long are these expected to last? Wearing them everyday?** A: My experience: After what is probably equivalent to 5-6 months of daily wear (I have multiple pairs and alternate), I've noticed some decrease of elasticity. It's happened slowly, but it's now to the point that they often sink down to my knees within an hour or two. Still provide some useful compression, but not like when they were new. In terms of care, it's been cold-water washes only, in lingerie bags, and hang to dry, which should maximize their useful life. My guess is the longer you go between washes, the more likely oils from your skin will start wearing down the fibers and decreasing elasticity, so I'd recommend buying multiple pairs and alternating...but this isn't a hypothesis I've tested. **Q: Would these help with many spider veins in the thigh area?** A: I don't know if these would help with your spider veins as I use them for leg and ankle swelling which is very helpful. I know they cover about 3/4's of the thigh. I can tell you that they are difficult to get on until you get the technique down and still takes a bit of time. For me they are well worth the effort.
