(if tub is used almost daily by one person)** A: Good question. We have had our spa for 15 years. We have found using the ozone system to purify the water to be more effective than chemical only systems. As to your question, there are several factors which impact the duration and effectiveness of the ozonator. First you must have adequate flow. We have found through trial and error that as the recirculation pump ages, the GPM decreases. Reduced flow can result in the ozone system not working effectively. Culprits which you need to be aware of are filters which are either very dirty and are restricting flow, or the filters are too restrictive when new. Also, be sure when you hook up the ozone system, you put a loop in the hose from the venturi to the ozone generator above the water line. This ensures that if you lose power, water will not leak into the ozone generator and ruin it. If you think you have an ozone system problem, first ensure adequate flow from the recirculation pump and the filters are clean. We replaced the system on our spa thinking it was the ozone system with no success. Next we replaced the recirculation pump which both helped circulate the water faster and enabled the ozone system to draw ozone from the generator into the venturi. When we ensured all the necessary requirements were met, we have been able to get 7+ years out of our ozone system. **Q: How long will it last? Are these used to replace adding all chlorine and other chemicals?** A: No **Q: Is this compatible with the jacuzzi j-330? my circuit board has the 2 spade connectors on it for ozone. but unsure of voltage. assuming 240v.** A: Not sure of your j-330 but this Ozone Generator is designed for 120V. Do not Assume. I would carefully measure the AC voltage on your two pins.
