It worked great for a long time. When the pump went, I shopped locally and spent a LOT of money on a pump that was supposed to be stronger... it wasn't. I fought the greenest and stringiest algae for four years. I started researching pumps and found this one. Reviews were mixed with warranties. I looked at the Savio website and found the list of sellers that they did NOT recommend and would not honor the warrantee with. Pondliner was not on that list. I contacted them with a few questions and found they guaranteed the pump for 2 years, as well as service them. I ordered the pump and another item. I found that the other item would not work and contacted Pondliner again who promptly fixed my problem. This pump is AWESOME! I have a 1500 gallon koi pond, and the water is finally moving like it used to! I love the pump, and I love the customer service provided. I will definitely look for Pondliner for all my future koi pond needs. It was so refreshing to get quick helpful customer service. This company and their products are really great! I've been running the 2050 - this one lasted 6 years - would you recommend moving up to the 3600 for more flow?** A: Moving up to a bigger pump may be great but it depends on if your plumbing, filtration and waterfall can handle the extra flow! More circulation won’t hurt and will help as long as your system can handle it. Check tubing chart to make sure the pipe will allow increased flow. 1600 gph will thicken a 12” waterfall by .3”. If you have a small filter it could over flow or over pressure it. **Q: What bio filter is compatible with this pump?** A: These ASIN#'s are all compatible. Yopu just need to find one that the pump does not overpower--meaning the flow rate of the filter cannot be lower than the maximum GPH of the pump. I have maybe 30ft of 1 1/2" spiral tubing and about a 12ft head and it gives a meandering flow to my cascading waterfall. It is kind of what I want, though, since I use the waterfall as part of the filtering process for the pond.
