I am a Doctor of Chiropratic and I recommend this product regularly to my patients along with using it personally! When using as an ice pack the cold will last 20 minuets plus and the heat 10-15 minuets while remaining warm for several more minuets! This product is durable and easy to use and I highly recommend it👍🏻 **Q: It says it can be used as hot too. How does that work?** A: Sorry I only used it cold for migraines...but you can remove the gel packs from the fabric so I guess we can put them in hot water or few seconds in microwave ( I did not read the instructions about using them hot) **Q: How long does the coldness from the ice packs last?** A: Thanks for your inquiry. After being frozen, the gel pack's immediate coldness (most intense thermal time) last anywhere from 25-30 minutes–or longer, depending on the conditions where it is being worn, as well as the freezer's settings. The packs are best removed from freezer when they are stiff (they never freeze rock solid). Affter a minute-90 secs. of kneading, they can conform to the body. A Wrap that really does what it claims to do! *by C***P on Reviewed in the United States on April 25, 2018* I purchased this wrap in search of something that will ease the horrible sinus pressure I get during the year from allergies. I finally had a chance to put this awesome product to good use!My sinuses were in so much pain and nothing seemed to work. Then I remembered I had stuck this in my freezer.I pulled it out, wrapped the product over my eyebrows and waited.Within 5 minutes I heard that wonder sound inside my head...the same squeaking sound that a balloon makes when you’re letting the air out of it. (You know what I’m talking about if you’ve ever had sinus pressure).It was instant relief!!! I’ve used it several times this week and it has eliminated all of the meds I took to try to make this pain go away.The best thing about this wrap is it is easily adjustable, the sleeves that hold the hot/cold back are silky smooth and feel nice against the skin, the pack stayed cold longer and best of all it does not slip because of the adjustable strap that fits it perfectly to my face!!! I didn’t have to adjust it and keep adjusting it as I have always had to do with cheaper similar products. It did not drip and make my face or clothes wet and the ice pack seemed to last several times longer than the many other products I’ve tried. The back up ice pack was ready when the cold finally went away.Last Friday I had a tooth abscess! I was in terrible pain. The doctor gave me Percocet for the pain but it made me sick to my stomach. I went to the freezer and grabbed the wisdom wrap.This time I put it around the top of my head so the base would wrap around under my chin and the ice pack sat right on my cheek where surgery had been done.The relief was incredible. Again, I did not have it keep adjusting it which prevented me from constantly touching the painful spot in my jaw. I did not take anymore pain pills after that. I alternated freezing each pack so it never ran out of that comforting cold feeling on my jaw.This wrap beats the wrap around eye pack I had for my sinuses, the stretchy neoprene sleeve with a Velcro attachment that constantly slips apart and takes forever to feel the coolness from the ice pack or even the old ice bag where you have to keep you head tilted and the water runs down your face.Wisdom Wrap has won me over and the cost is 100% worth it to me. I literally could not live without this! I ordered extra sets of the cool packs that go inside so I always have a pair to change out when it’s bad and I need the cold for hours. The packs are like a hard-ish slush right out of the freezer, but really easy to kind of squish and make pliable. It’s really easy and not a pain at all. I get about 30 mins of super cold, another 30 of cold, then time to start thinking about switching out packs. The wrap is adjustable and once I fit mine to my head I cut off the extra Velcro so it wasn’t flopping around and leave it. It’s easy to slide on and off without undoing the straps. I wear mine so the adjusters are at the side of my head around my ears that way I get great coverage across my forehead to my temples in the front and all the way around the back. I can slide it down to the base of my skull, which many times is needed, and still keep it where I want in the front. Honestly, this was the best find for me for relief from migraine pain. Do yourself a favor, if you have them, buy one. Get a couple extra refills as well. Best investment I’ve bought by far for my migraines and let me tell ya, I have a ton of ice packs I’ve bought for that purpose. A few months ago i was informed that i was going to have my first implant. Joy Joy. I knew that there would be some pain involved post surgery, and i do not like pain one single bit. I have a very good friend that has suffered from the pain caused by TMJ on an off for years. I asked him if he had any tips he could throw my way, besides the obvious pain pills recommended by the Dentist/Oral Surgeon. He told me to mos def take the medication, but recently he decided to try this new product also recommended by his Oral Surgeon. He said it worked like a charm to loosen his jaw muscles which in turn relieved the pain. So i said what the heck. I was amazed!!!! I used it hot.
